The Results
Since moving into new premises, Ball’s Grinding Services machining capacity has increased by 50 percent and this has contributed to a broadening of our customer base. Changeover and set-up times have been reduced from days to hours, thereby increasing our competitiveness and combating the effects of the lower labour costs enjoyed by our overseas competition. By employing KanBan systems with our customers we have been able to reduce inventory and supply the parts "just in time"
